Colophon
Everything is in a Git repo here
tools
- Pandoc is used to parse some markdown files and generate HTML.
- A small Java program creates file listings.
- Pagefind indexes the prose and creates a search bar.
- Make executes a makefile to orchestrate everything.
- The resulting files are then uploaded to my Debian server using rsync, and served to you with nginx.
I can run everything except Pagefind from my phone using Termux, so search indexes get outdated until I next deploy from a computer. That’s fine.
workflow
It’s all just markdown files.
I edit them with the default Mint text editor “xed” from my laptop, micro (through Termux) from my phone, and VSCode on windows. I formerly used the github web editor, although I no longer host things on Github.
